Both are primarily focused on youth support, education and training. They carry out their work by listening to their needs, training them and supporting them into a brighter future.

The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust aims to be a fitting legacy to Stephen’s memory and to make a real impact by supporting young people to transform their lives by overcoming disadvantage and discrimination and moving into ambitious careers as professionals. They continue to campaign for fairness and justice, ensuring the lessons learnt from Stephen’s murder are acted upon.

Stephens murder and the resulting publication of the Macpherson Report in 1999 has been called "one of the most important moments in the modern history of criminal justice in Britain"

AKT supports lgbtq+ young people aged 16-25 in the uk who are facing or experiencing homelessness or living in a hostile environment. They support young people into safe homes and employment, education or training, in a welcoming and open environment that celebrates lgbtq+ identities. AKT helps them to stay safe in a crisis by finding emergency accommodation,  specialist support and teaching them to develop skills and identify and achieve their life goals.
